As far as I know, it's even functionally impossible to add it to Warband, and that's a missed opportunity. if you give up or time runs out but have collected the money, the quest giver will always ask for it when you meet him.
dont worry though, you cant get out of this quest. The other thing is that Bannerlord should be a good base for fantasy mods, so realism is besides the point, I think. you can cancel quests by going to the quest giver and telling them you are not going to finish them. Directional blocking, but it doesn't stop you from attacking? That would be really cool.
Worldwide, through history, it's a dueling method, at best a small scale street fight.īut I still want it in, mostly just because I think it would be a cool mechanic to play. Siege, battle, siege, battle, peace, repeat. I feel there is nothing to do, because as soon I start a new game I realize 'oh wow this is just a grind to become king' which imo is the worst part of the game because everything is so repetitive.
I think part of it is that there's a general lack of places to use it. I feel like Mount and Blade has run dry for me. The heavy emphasis on shields, and therefore a lack of guards made it pretty impractical, but it's definitely mentioned as an emergency technique if your shield breaks, and holding a spear in one hand and a dagger/sword was always relatively common. Historically, it would be way more common in Warband's 14th century than Bannerlord's 11th, but I don't know if there's ever been a period where it didn't exist.
